What are your career highlights?

I have many career highlights including being part of the development and success of the Home Underwriting department from the beginning. I really enjoy working with the Webchat team as it is really innovative and focusing on a better customer experience.

Where did you start and how have you developed to where you are?

I have worked for Saga for 9 years, I started working in the Travel Insurance Sales contact centre and I worked there for 9 months before moving to the main sales contact centre for just over a year. I was given the opportunity to step-up to a development team manager role in the main sales contact centre where I managed and supported a team of service delivery agents. I later joined the Sales Development Team where my main duties included planning incentives for the contact centre agents and rolling our communication briefings to agents and distributing targets to agents. During my 9 years at Saga I have worked with Services and Holidays so I have had exposure to different divisions of the business. I also went on to manage the Home underwriting team when it was established as the Broking team for 2 years. I later worked on some technical projects which included the launch of home emergency products and involved looking at IT systems and improvements for the contact centre. I am currently a Team Manager for the Sales department and I have managed various teams within the Sales team.

What do you love about your job?

I love managing a team and seeing people develop and achieve their goals, I enjoy being challenged on a daily basis and I love thinking of ways to make things better.

Where do you see yourself in a couple of years?

I definitely see myself at Saga in a position that will continue to challenge and develop me further, I know with hard work and determination new opportunities will be around the corner.
